We would very much welcome an enquiry on your behalf to consider joining us at Faraday lodge. You may simply have some more questions to ask in the first instance, but remember that Freemasonry admits men from all walks of life, and certainly does not discriminate on the grounds of ethnicity, disability, politics or religion.
There are however just a few simple rules to bear in mind, which apply to all masonic lodges before you can even be considered for membership.
These are that you must be a man without any serious criminal convictions, and you must have a faith or religion. Freemasons across the world have different faith and religions, and so all Freemasons refer to the Supreme Being as “The Great Architect of the Universe”.
Freemasonry has been in existence for over 300 years. There are many thousands of lodges spread right across the world, and there are millions of Freemasons. One of the joys of being a Freemason is being able to visit or join many other lodges to meet others. A true old saying is “there are no strangers in freemasonry, only friends you haven’t yet met”.
